An office hysteroscopy is a procedure that allows a doctor to examine the inside of the uterus using a thin tube with a camera. It’s usually performed on a regular examination table without incisions.

What should I expect after the procedure?

Some patients report mild cramping and a bloody discharge for a few days after the procedure. Most patients can go home shortly after the procedure. We ask that you follow up immediately if you are experiencing a fever, chills or heavy bleeding.

We recommend that you do not use tampons, have sex or insert anything into the vagina for 3-4 weeks post procedure.
